Bionta
In the year 2021 humanity reached a new record: Meanwhile there are more tons of plastic, cars und buildings than animals, plants and fungi on planet earth.
With Bionta, a digital exhibition was created, which tries to combine the seemingly oppositions between biosphere and technosphere. From the point of view of lichens the interdependence between humans and nature is illustrated and made tangible in an interactive and narrative manner. The visitors are welcomed in this digital world to take a look around freely. They get a detailed insight on the seemingly unseen and learn, for instance, why the quality of our air is tightly connected to the survival of the species of lichens. Or how their symbiotic structure could benefit an ecological agriculture. Bionta is the result of my Bachelor thesis.
